Pompano Beach Reef, located at Pompano Beach, with its rich and diverse marine life below the surface to a wide variety of Pelagic bird life above, is arguably some of the best beach snorkeling in Fort Lauderdale.
The snorkeling experience starts with a detailed briefing on the equipment and use, as well as the tour before we enter the water led by a PADI Pro where you have the chance to spot sea turtles, manatees, blue tangs (Dory), lobsters, scorpionfish, nurse sharks and stingrays to name a few. You are more than welcome to bring a waterproof camera as you never know what unique encounter you might have.
Ocean conservation is at our core and we encourage the philosophy of “leave nothing but bubbles, take nothing but photos.”

This was our first time snorkeling and it was nerve wracking but so much fun. The guide is so informative as well as helpful with anything and everything you need. Everyone should book this strictly due to the guide being so wonderful. Such a friendly human and experience. I will definitely be coming back to Florida to do more tours with him! There is nothing bad I can say about the whole experience. We saw a string ray gliding on the bottom floor and many fish in the coral. Also due to never doing this before he really helped us so much getting us out safe and back in safe with the buoy.

We had such a wonderful experience! Jacques was so knowledgeable & we felt totally safe with him. This was our first legitimate snorkeling experience & he taught all of us how to properly use the equipment & what to do in case of seeing a shark/an emergency situation. I wanted to keep ahold of the buoy because I was nervous & Jacques just pulled us along & swam right with us the whole time. We saw a sting ray, angel fish, razor fish, & many others! We also just really enjoyed Jacques as a person; we loved talking with him & could’ve listened to him talk about the ocean & things for hours. We would definitely come back to him to do other tours. We look forward to our next time!
